Elise Moreau, Webmaster/Pianist
I have been playing the piano since I was 8 years old. Now 23, I’m still learning. Over the past 15 years or so, I found that the ability to learn music takes patience, practice, and perseverance. I created this hobby website to help others fulfill their love and passion for playing the piano. I love music, writing, and social media, so why not create a website about it?
I’m no concert pianist, but I have gone through professional conservatory training with the Royal Conservatory of Music and Conservatory Canada where I achieved my grade 7 piano certificate about 5 years ago. Years of weekly piano lessons, technical training, recitals, competitions, local music festivals, and conservatory examinations have brought me where I am today.
Even though I stopped training professionally, I still play for my own enjoyment and I might consider training for my grade 8 certification in future years. In the end, there is no greater feeling than accomplishing the ability to play, express, and interpret an incredible piece of music.
I currently use the Yamaha P-70 Digital Piano to practice, play, and record piano music. I do own a very old and unique acoustic upright piano, however I have not been able to keep up with piano tuning expenses. If you’d like to make a small donation to help support this website, please do so below via PayPal. All donations go toward the maintenance of the Everything Piano website and/or the expenses related to acoustic piano tuning and maintenance. I greatly appreciate your contribution.
To all of you who have complimented my playing through YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, forums, email, and direct messages, I’d like to thank you, however, I don’t consider myself to be especially “gifted” or even extremely talented for that matter. Everything that I play (specifically advanced classical pieces) takes a lot of technical work, hours of passage repetition, and discipline to practice using the right methods, no matter how frustrating or daunting the task may be. Most importantly, it involves an unconditional love for the challenge of learning music and the will to interpret those tiny black dots and squiggles and transform them into art. I hope to have a lot more pieces uploaded to my YouTube channel in the near future.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” –Calvin Coolidge
